I am mainly interested in developing models/methods for phylogenetic analysis of DNA or protein sequence data. These models are useful in reconstructing species phylogenies and in understanding the mechanisms of molecular evolution. I am also interested in theoretical population genetics. In the real world, most of my time seems to have been spent on buying and setting up computers or looking for space to put them.

See the group web page for more information about our research. Also see my page at the Department.
